Description
Mosaic Communications is seeking a Political Campaign Associate to support political and advocacy clients across a variety of campaigns and issue-based initiatives.
This is a full-time, remote position with an anticipated end date following the 2026 election cycle. The position is currently structured as a contract role through November 2026, with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position based on business needs, performance, and future staffing opportunities
Responsibilities
- Support political and advocacy client accounts as assigned under the direction of Vice Presidents, Strategic Advisors and Account Leads
- Participate in internal and client-facing meetings and maintain detailed meeting notes and action items
- Conduct political, policy, voter, issue, and opposition research to support campaign strategy and client objectives
- Assist with the development and execution of integrated communications and paid media campaigns
- Support the creation of media plans, campaign recommendations, reports, presentations, and other client deliverables
- Prepare and distribute campaign performance reports and assist with ongoing reporting and analysis
- Track account budgets, expenses, invoices, and production costs while maintaining accurate internal records
- Prepare invoice requests and coordinate billing-related communications with accounting and finance staff
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and workflow coordination across client accounts
- Support media production, trafficking, and execution efforts across digital, television, radio, direct mail, and other communications channels
- Maintain organized files, shared drives, campaign documentation, and internal systems
- Assist with operational processes, workflow management, and internal administrative needs
- Coordinate internal and external communications as directed by account leads and senior staff
- Support the day-to-day needs of client accounts and campaign teams to ensure projects are delivered accurately, on time, and within budget
- Gain exposure to campaign strategy, messaging, paid media, voter persuasion, fundraising communications, and advocacy campaigns while developing professional consulting skills
Requirements
- 1–4 years of experience in campaigns, politics, advocacy, communications, government, nonprofit organizations, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a distributed team
- Commitment to Democratic values and progressive causes
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take initiative
Preferred:
- Experience working on political campaigns, independent expenditures, ballot initiatives, or advocacy campaigns
- Familiarity with paid media, voter contact programs, digital advertising, direct mail, fundraising, or political communications
- Experience supporting client accounts, project management, or campaign operations
- Experience tracking budgets, invoices, expenses, or financial reporting
- Knowledge of political targeting, polling, voter files, or campaign strategy
- Experience drafting reports, presentations, memos, or client-facing materials
- Familiarity with campaign technology platforms such as NGP VAN, TargetSmart, or digital advertising platforms
- Demonstrated interest in political consulting, communications, and media strategy
Experience with social media management, content creation, content calendars, and digital communications across major social media platforms.
