Company Profile
Partnership for Children & Youth
Company Overview
The Partnership for Children and Youth (PCY) is an innovative advocacy and capacity-building organization committed to closing the opportunity gap for students from under-resourced communities in California, with an emphasis on before and after school, summer learning, social emotional learning, and community schools. For more than 20 years, we have inspired and helped people, organizations, and systems to leverage their existing resources and work together to educate and support children furthest from opportunity. We have a longstanding reputation as excellent partners and collaborators with a diverse set of allies and stakeholders.
Grounded in research and experience, we build educator capacity, facilitate relationships between school districts and community-based organizations, lead coalitions and campaigns, and advocate for effective public policies. We are dedicated to a future where all young people can thrive in school and beyond through equitable access to learning opportunities and supportive, effective schools.
PCY has a warm and supportive culture where authenticity, continuous learning, transparency, and trust-building are highly valued. The team is committed, flexible, and inclusive and cares deeply about our work. Critical thinking, adaptability, and collaboration are highly valued as ways to generate systemic solutions, and wellness is held up as a key principle. The organization has high standards and a sense of accountability to continually center the communities we serve.
