Description

The Development and Grant Writing Manager will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by cultivating relationships with existing donors, securing new donors and grants, and obtaining in-kind contributions from businesses and manufacturers. This individual will be responsible for managing fundraising initiatives, grant writing, and fostering partnerships to support our programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:

• Develop and implement strategies to maintain and enhance relationships with existing donors.
• Identify and engage potential new donors to expand the donor base.
• Organize appreciation events and communications to acknowledge donor contributions.

Grant Writing and Management:

• Research and identify grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission and programs.
• Prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundations, corporations, as well as federal, state, and local agencies.
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and timely submission of reports.

In-Kind Contributions:

• Identify and establish partnerships with businesses and manufacturers for in-kind donations, such as food, toys, gift cards, and basic provisions.

Fundraising Events and Campaigns:

• Plan and execute fundraising events, including securing sponsorships for annual galas, to generate revenue and engage the community.
• Develop and manage fundraising campaigns, including online appeals and annual giving programs.

Marketing and Public Relations:

• Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop marketing materials that promote fundraising initiatives.
• Utilize social media and other platforms to enhance the organization's visibility and attract support.

Budget Planning and Management:

• Work with the CEO and CFO to develop budgets for fundraising activities and grant proposals.
• Monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit development, grant writing, or fundraising.
• Proven track record of securing grants and cultivating donor relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Proficiency in using donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
