Description

Self-Help is a non-profit financial institutional with a focus on economic equality especially in communities that have faced systemic barriers in building wealth. Self-Help is seeking a Development, Policy and Impact Associate to join our team and play a key role in securing funding to support Self-Help’s community initiatives and programming. This includes prospecting and developing relationships with potential funding sources as well as stewarding relationships with existing funders, writing proposals and maintaining accurate and current data in our proprietary CRM system.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in writing grant proposals and securing grants
• Ability to utilize all forms of social media as well as working knowledge and experience with Salesforce, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Understanding of databases from an information-user perspective and appreciation for the role data plays in telling the story of our impact.
• Excellent written, verbal and public speaking communication skills. Strong editing and proofreading skills
