About the Role  

The Huntington is seeking an experienced Raiser’s Edge Database Administrator to support the Advancement Division in managing the financial and biographical information of donors, prospects and contacts across multiple systems. This position’s primary responsibility is to effectively maintain donor, prospect, contacts, volunteer and staff information in the Raiser’s Edge (RE) database. Under the direction of the Advancement Services Director, the RE Database Administrator serves as the Division’s database administrator to maintain high levels of data integrity through regular data maintenance tasks, global updates and training. This position will also partner with additional institutional stakeholders for strategic and tactical projects. 

Essential Duties 

  • Manage the Raiser’s Edge database to ensure the integrity and accuracy of information entered into the database and that all protocols have been followed.  

  • Develop, maintain, and document procedures for use of the Raiser’s Edge database. Train staff on policies and processes, as well as the use of the database. 

  • Consult with and advise Development Department staff for list generation and report preparation. Independently or in collaboration with the Director, create and execute standard and customized database reports that meet the evolving needs of the fundraising teams. 

  • Maintain standardized tools and procedures to track end-user list and report requests, as well as data management and database improvement projects. 

  • Conduct regular data hygiene procedures and perform data audits with staff training and corrective training/review. 

  • Support planning and decision making by translating data into usable reports. 

  • Maintains data integrity and accuracy, as well as handle global changes, imports and other global database functions.  

  • Recommend table structures, coding and business rules that capture information for donor analysis and action. Ensure accurate transfer of records among different database systems. 

  • Partner with stakeholder teams to coordinate and support information sharing across the organization’s various platforms. 

Candidate Requirements and Experience

  • Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge and RE NXT. 

  • Knowledge of institutional CRM administration and product ownership 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced office and manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy. 

  • Understanding of donor/development relationship; ability to work within a team. 

  • Effective organizational skills. 

  • Willingness to learn new programs and applications as needed 


  • Experience working in a nonprofit, philanthropic, government, and/or higher education organization. 

  • 1-3 years of experience with data management and analytics (e.g., creation of dashboards, custom reporting) 

  • 1-3 years of experience with Raiser’s Edge or other non-profit institutional CRM 


  • Experience with ticketing systems (Ticketure preferred) 

  • Experience with email marketing systems (Mailchimp preferred) 

  • Experience working with a membership organization highly preferred
