Description

The Campaign Scheduler will play a crucial role in the organization and execution of the candidate's calendar, ensuring efficient and strategic use of time to maximize impact. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Democratic values, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the candidate's daily, weekly, and monthly schedule, including but not limited to campaign events, speaking engagements, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • Work closely with campaign staff, volunteers, and external partners to plan and execute events that align with campaign goals.
  • Ensure the candidate is briefed and prepared for all engagements, including providing background information, talking points, and logistical details.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of contacts and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders involved in scheduling.
  • Handle logistics for travel arrangements, including accommodations, transportation, and itineraries, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Be available for urgent scheduling needs and adjustments, including outside of standard business hours.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure alignment between the candidate's schedule and media strategy.
  • Conduct follow-up as necessary to gather feedback and improve future planning efforts.
  • Manage the campaign's email, chat, social media, and text messaging inboxes, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to inquiries, comments, and feedback.
  • Coordinate with the digital communications team to maintain a consistent message across all platforms and to assist in the execution of digital strategy.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in campaign scheduling, event planning, or a similar role, ideally within a political or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong understanding of the political landscape and commitment to Democratic principles.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling and productivity software, as well as digital communication tools.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and travel as required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
